This policy explains what personal information Cinefolks collects when you contact us or use cinefolks.ae, how we use it, and the rights you have over it. We are based in Dubai and handle personal data in line with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

What we collect
We only collect what we need in order to answer you and supply what you ask for:
- Contact details — your name, phone number and email address, when you message us on WhatsApp, email us, call us, or visit the showroom.
- Enquiry details — what you tell us about your room, budget, existing equipment and requirements, so that we can recommend and quote accurately.
- Delivery and installation details — address and access information, where you ask us to deliver or install.
- Trade account details — company name, trade licence and VAT registration, for dealers and integrators applying for trade terms.
- Technical information — basic server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) generated automatically when you visit the site.
What we do not collect
This website does not take payments. There is no online checkout, and we never collect or store card numbers, bank details or payment credentials through this site. We do not run advertising or analytics trackers on cinefolks.ae, and we do not build marketing profiles of visitors.
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and prepare quotations.
- To arrange demonstrations, delivery, installation and calibration.
- To register products with manufacturers and process warranty claims.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations in the UAE.
- To send you information you have specifically asked for. We do not send marketing messages to people who have not asked for them.
WhatsApp is our main enquiry channel. When you message us there, the conversation is carried and stored on WhatsApp's own infrastructure and is subject to WhatsApp's and Meta's privacy terms in addition to ours. If you would prefer not to use WhatsApp, please email or call us instead — we treat all three channels equally.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only where it is necessary to do what you have asked:
- Manufacturers and authorised distributors — for warranty registration and technical support.
- Delivery and installation partners — the minimum needed to complete a delivery.
- Professional advisers and authorities — our accountants, auditors, or a government authority where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a purchase are kept for [RETENTION PERIOD] and then deleted. Records relating to a completed sale, including invoices and warranty records, are kept for as long as UAE tax and commercial law requires, and for the duration of any applicable warranty.
Your rights
Under UAE data protection law you may ask us to: confirm what data we hold about you and give you a copy; correct anything inaccurate; delete data we no longer need; restrict or object to certain processing; or transfer your data to another provider. Contact info@cinefolks.ae and we will respond within the period required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted over the internet.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
