BasX A1
• Audiophile quality Class A/B output stage.
• Linear power supply with a hefty toroidal transformer and plenty of filtering.
• Designed to sound great with every speaker and all types of music.
• Monoblock design for the ultimate in separation and flexibility.
The BasX A1 is a monoblock power amplifier that delivers 200 watts into 8 Ohms and 325 watts into 4 Ohms, with a rated THD+N of <0.02%, and an A-weighted S/N ratio of 112 db. The BasX A1 features a heavy-duty linear power supply, high-quality Class A/B amplification, transparent fault protection, and a trigger input and output. A high-quality industry standard unbalanced RCA input enables the BasX A1 to be used with almost any preamp or processor and audiophile-grade five-way speaker terminals accept banana plugs, spade lugs, or bare wire. These features combine to enable the BasX A1 to deliver true audiophile performance and sound quality at an amazingly affordable price.
In addition to the features, it shares with Emotiva's other BasX power amplifiers, as a true monoblock, the BasX A1 also offers several other benefits that will be appreciated by dedicated audiophiles. Monoblocks offer the ultimate assurance that there will be no unwanted interaction between channels. The audio signal for each channel is handled by a separate amplifier, powered by its own heavy-duty power supply, housed in its own separate chassis. This also gives you the option of minimizing the length of your speaker cables by locating each amplifier close to the speaker it powers.
Simply choose as many BasX A1 monoblocks as you need today… or use them for your most critical channels today and upgrade your other channels later. And, of course, a BasX A1 is also a great way to upgrade your centre channel to match your main stereo pair.
