REL are enthusiasts themselves, so they designed the extra mass to ensure that choosing the wireless route wouldn’t lead to annoyance. Just one more way REL let you know that they “get it.” Finally, they finished it off with 5 coats of hand-applied acrylic lacquer. What, you thought that deep glossy black came about by accident? REL pride themselves on having always designed and built the simplest, easiest-to-use wireless systems in the industry. Just tap a button on the transmitter and, once it begins blinking, tap the matching button on the receiver. That’s it! REL HT-Air MKII comes with all the internal programming installed and ready to go because REL are not using conventional WI-FI. REL’s own dedicated protocol allows us to eliminate all the nonsense. Wireless Is Freedom
HT-Air MKII employs REL’s 3rd generation 5.8 GHz chip, their most advanced single-chip solution. It’s designed to allow continuous real-time streaming of music and movies. Featuring either L-R stereo inputs OR (1) .1/LFE input, the HT-Air MKII is easily capable of sending dynamic, rich-sounding sub-bass signals at least 40’ (12M) and, in ideal cases, even further. Like REL’s more expensive models, it delivers a lightning-fast response of around 17 ms. That speed translates to better sound, greater dynamics, and performance nearing that of high-quality cables.
