Harman Kardon builds the Go + Play 3 around a three-way speaker configuration, which is uncommon in a portable, and houses it in the brand's signature form using premium materials. A built-in battery frees it from the wall and a USB charging port feeds a phone alongside it. Bluetooth handles music streaming, and dual far-field microphones are fitted.

Auto self tuning adapts the output to its surroundings rather than leaving the balance fixed wherever the speaker is set down, and wireless pairing links it to another unit. Materials are recycled to an unusual degree: it is made in part with 100% recycled polyester yarn, 90% recycled aluminium and 85% recycled plastic.
