Harman Kardon's Onyx enclosure is the recognisable part of this one: a sculpted stereo speaker on a slim frame, designed to be seen in a living room rather than hidden in a rack. A built-in battery lets it be carried between rooms or taken outside, and Bluetooth streaming covers whatever a phone or tablet is playing.
The engineering emphasis is a wider soundstage, supported by self-tuning that adapts output to the surroundings rather than assuming a fixed position. Auracast handles multi-speaker connection, and a second Studio 9 can be added to give proper stereo separation across a larger space. A USB port charges a phone, and the Harman Kardon One app handles setup and control.
