Live Flex 3 uses an open-stick form with a 12 mm dynamic driver in each bud, and each bud weighs 4.5 g. Frequency response runs from 20 Hz to 40 kHz, with 13 ohm impedance and 103 dB SPL sensitivity at 1 kHz. An IP54 rating covers dust and water, and the Smart Charging Case gives control over the earbuds without opening an app.

Playback reaches 10 hours from the buds with noise cancelling off and 7 hours with true adaptive noise cancelling running; the 690 mAh case takes the total to 50 hours, charges in 2 hours from empty, and supports wireless charging. Six microphones handle calls, and Personi-Fi 3.0 builds a listening profile through the JBL Headphones app.
