Nothing enters the ear canal here. The Soundgear Clips sit outside the ear using JBL OpenSound technology, which leaves ambient awareness intact for cycling, running or shared office work where blocking out the room is a liability. Each clip weighs 6.5 g, carries an 11 mm dynamic driver, and is rated IP54 against dust and water, with all-day comfort the stated design goal.

Playtime runs up to 8 hours per charge and 32 hours in total with the case, which refills the buds in 2 hours from empty, with speed charging for shorter top-ups. Four beamforming microphones and an AI-trained algorithm handle calls. Bluetooth 5.4 supports multi-point pairing and Fast Pair, and frequency response spans 20 Hz to 20 kHz with a bass boost setting available.
